Our Beliefs
This congregation acknowledges and accepts all the canonical books of the Old Testament and the New Testament as the revealed, verbally inspired, inerrant Word of God, and submits to them as the only infallible authority in all matters of faith and life.
We acknowledge and accept all the confessional writings of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, contained in the book of Concord of the year 1580 as true and genuine expositions of the doctrines of the Bible. These confessional writings are the three Ecumenical Creeds (Apostles', Nicene and Athanasian), the Unaltered Augsburg Confession, and Apology of the Augsburg Confession, the Smalcald Articles, Luther's Large and Small Catechisms, and the Formula of Concord.
Holy Communion
Our Lord Jesus gave the gift of Holy Communion to His people to receive the forgiveness of sins, strength for the Christian life, and a renewed relationship with one another. All those who recognize the true presence of Jesus’ body and blood in the bread and wine and expect to receive these gifts are invited to His table. If you are unsure about your participation, please wait and speak with Pastor Rex after the service.
The ushers will direct you. Please hold out your hand to receive the body of Christ with the bread and place it into your mouth. The blood of Christ with the wine is offered in individual cups. White grape juice is placed in the tray for those who may require it. Children not yet instructed in receiving the Lord’s Supper are encouraged to come forward to receive a blessing.
